We are pleased to announce the re-opening of The Ferry Boat Inn in Ullapool under new management. From 1st March 2014 The Ferry Boat Inn will be run by Nigel and Franner Jordan. Nigel and Franner have run The Argyll Hotel in Ullapool since 2007 and are delighted to be able to bring the same friendly service, quality and enjoyable customer experience to The Ferry Boat. “The Ferry Boat Inn has real atmosphere and character”, says Franner, “It’s a feel-good place. Plus its spectacular location on the waterfront has made it a legendary Ullapool venue for many years. We are delighted to have the opportunity to become part of Ferry Boat Inn history.”
Franner & Nigel say the bar and restaurant have been redecorated and completely refurbished. Good quality real ales have been reintroduced with hopes to establish Cask Marque status and an entry in The Good Beer Guide as soon as possible. Guest rooms haven’t escaped the revamp with all new top quality mattresses and bedding. Free bottled water, Scottish biscuits, tea, coffee and flat-screen digital TVs help make your room at The Ferry Boat Inn a home-from-home.
Franner & Nigel are also pleased to be launching the Blue Kazoo Seafood Cafe, Ullapool’s only specialist seafood restaurant, showcasing the best of local fish and shellfish in a relaxed, casual dining atmosphere. “We know how good seafood is in Ullapool”, say Nigel. “it’s always been a popular choice in The Argyll restaurant. So we were all excited at the idea of creating a restaurant that featured the wealth of local seafood available to us here in Ullapool and in the Highlands.”
